The Kuching & Kota Samarahan Division Hardware & Machinery Merchants' Association is a non-profit organization based in Kuching, one of the oldest cities in East Malaysia. The association was founded in 1965 and was initially named the Kuching Ropes, Paints, Building Materials, Hardware and Ceramics Guild, which reflects the range of industries involved in buying and selling rope, paint, building materials, hardware, and ceramics.
The primary objective of the association is to cultivate cordial relations among merchants engaged in the hardware and construction materials business and promote the exchange of business information and knowledge among members. Acting as a conduit between business owners and the local government, the association also advocates for its members' interests and addresses industry-related issues and challenges. Moreover, the association has broadened its scope of activities, which now include conducting business surveys and introducing new products to its members.
