Johor Hardware, Machinery & Building Material Merchants Association

Johor Hardware, Machinery & Building Material Merchants Association was established in 1982 to look after the traders' interests in hardware, machinery, and building material businesses and promote fellowship among traders. It has more than 200 members and purchased a building in 1983, costing RM330,000. The association conducts activities like seminars, business trips, and golf tournaments. In 1987, it extended the committee members' term from one year to two years to serve members better. The current President is Mr. Lim Chiang Ming, who took over from Ex-President Datuk Tan Liang Soong in 2008.
