Council of Datuk Dato’ Malaysia (MDDM)

Majlis Datuk Dato' Malaysia (MDDM) was established to protect the honor of Datuk and Dato’ honorifics in Malaysia. Illegal societies claiming false representation prompted the creation of MDDM, which upholds the law enacted in 2017. Additionally, MDDM addresses scams by fake title holders, ensuring the credibility of genuine Datuks and Dato’s. The organization provides a national platform for legal recipients of these titles to network and contribute voluntarily to society. MDDM has strict membership rules and a thorough vetting process. Registered by the Registrar of Societies in 2021, MDDM verifies its members' legitimacy through national databases. Their vision is to support and preserve the institutions of Malaysia's rulers and leaders.
