Penang Foundry & Engineering Industries Association (PENFEIA)

Penang Foundry & Engineering Industries Association (PENFEIA) is a non-profit trade organization representing the foundry and engineering industries in the northern region of Malaysia. Established in 1979, PENFEIA currently consists of 150 member companies mainly comprising of small and medium-sized industries (SMIs). The organization is a member of the Federation of Malaysian Foundry & Engineering Industries Associations (FOMFEIA). PENFEIA's mission is to uplift the industry and technology to meet the country's Third Industrial Master Plan (IMP3) by 2020. Its vision is to promote unity and goodwill among its members for their benefit. The organization aims to assist its members in upgrading their skills and technology and engage in increasing and development activities. PENFEIA also organizes training courses, dialogues, and trade missions with various organizations, including government and private sectors, to help its members build linkages and business opportunities both domestically and internationally. PENFEIA's members are involved in various businesses, such as ferrous and non-ferrous casting, metal fabrication and welding works, mould & die and precision engineering, metal stamping, heat and surface treatment, automation and equipment manufacturers, automotive maintenance, and engineering suppliers. Additionally, since its inception, PENFEIA has organized relevant conferences, seminars, and projects to disseminate information to its members and actively participates in trade exhibitions and visits locally and overseas to build linkages and business opportunities for its members.
