Hong Kong Wine Chamber of Commerce (HKWCC)

香港葡萄酒商會

Description

The Hong Kong Wine Chamber of Commerce (HKWCC) was established in 2010 with the purpose of uniting the local wine industry to ensure its prosperity and stability. The HKWCC's objective is to create a business-oriented, cultural and trading platform to strengthen Hong Kong's position as the wine hub of Asia. The HKWCC has members from various sectors of the wine industry, creating a strong and broad business network. As the voice of the industry, the HKWCC has various channels to reach the Legislative Councils, government bodies and HKSAR government administration departments. This allows the HKWCC to express the views of the industry and represent its members' positions on policies related to the sector. Hong Kong enjoys the privilege of free import tax on wine, making it the wine hub of Asia. To maintain competitiveness, the HKWCC maintains a good liaison with China's wine world and keeps up with its rapid development. The HKWCC has also obtained the HKSAR Government's BUD Funding for Non-Profit Organizations in 2015 and 2018, continuously aligning its members to international networks with business opportunities, governments, and institutions around the world.
